PREPARING TO SHOW YOUR HOME

It can be frustrating to prepare your home if you're overwhelmed by what's required.

Start with the basics. Eliminate clutter, remove all photographs, other than from walls. Kill any and all offensive odors. Make sure everything is spotless... from windows, to doors, to rooms, to anything.

Once the inside is complete, then start looking at the outside. Clear gutters, organize sheds or garages (you'll need to do this anyway as you prepare to move).

If you have a vacant home, make sure utitlites and water stay on. Ask someone close by to mow lawns, or keep up appearances.

Do your best to help the potential buyer see your home at it's best. The payoff will reward any work required.
